Working within a startup as the Creative Lead and UX Designer gave me unprecedented freedom over the scope and style of the product and brand at large. RetailBox started out as an app for tech enthusiasts and smaller technology stores to play their favourite demo looping screen savers from the Apple Store, and later transformed into an immersive worldwide experience where users could check out their favourite places, and watch ultra high quality screen savers.
Designing RetailBox 6 meant going back to the heart of the product and discussing how we could redesign it from the ground up. Meticulously focusing on the essential user interface elements and closely collaborating with development and customers gave us a unique insight and approach to the design and the development of the product.
Every screen was reimagined from the signature library tab through to collections, search and discovery. A full set of custom icons, variants in both dark and light mode and constant iteration from ideation through to beta testing and release resulted in an elevated and hugely well received finished product.
