Elevating the web experience for RetailBox
About the Brand
RetailBox was a world discovery brand, bringing people and places together through screen savers, research and stories.
The app initially launched as a home for screen savers for demo devices in retail stores, before finding its footing as a home for people who love to travel, to find and explore places, and view beautifully shot aerials of them, coupled with local knowledge of the region.
I worked with RetailBox on the Product Design, and on the Web Design and Motion you see here. Unfortunately RetailBox is no longer available.

Beautifully crafted pages
Crafting each page of the site was a deeply considered process, and a great deal of time was put into ensuring every section was individually strong and detailed, while still complimenting the site's identity as a whole.
Rich, Animated Visuals
The animations I created with the engineering team were some of my favourite parts of this project to work on. They both lifted and assisted with explaining complex parts of the app's architecture, and its functionality.
Illustrations that speak volumes
Designing illustrations to compliment the layout and components of every page allowed me to celebrate the identity of the product, and reflect it back into the web interface, giving a feeling of a connected experience between site and app.
Didn't make the cut
Though the lighter, more playful visual direction wasn't the one we eventually went for, I wanted to share some of the early investigations into the web design and layout, which I really liked.
