Meerkatjack — Founder and Design Lead. My agency, working across brand, UX and frontend for clients in education, consumer, travel, government, nonprofit and commerce. I’m fortunate enough to have worked with more than 25 brands making billions of dollars annually.
Bounce Back Drinks — Creative Lead. Helped redefine the brand presence for Bounce Back Drinks with a totally redesigned site, Amazon Store, promotional and investor relations materials.
RetailBox — PM and UX Lead. Led the launch of RetailBox 6 through a major product pivot, and with a new design direction, brand and app experience from concept to beta, and then global release.
Good design is a conversation, crafted between person and product.
I believe that good design is a conversation between the product and the person using it. Craft and function, between what a brand says and what it actually does.
I care deeply about the details, the ones users never notice but always feel, and I'm just as invested in the strategic thinking that gets you there. Storytelling, stakeholder relationships and a relentless focus on cutting what doesn't work are as much a part of my process as the pixels themselves.
I dance between product, brand and design system.
I work across a few disciplines and I think that breadth makes me a better designer in each of them. Navigating (and fostering) a healthy tension between product, brand and design system is my greatest strength.
UX and product design — from early research and flows through to polished, native interfaces across iOS and web.
Design systems — building scalable, living systems that teams actually want to use.
Brand and visual design — strong craft, a sharp eye, and a real love for the visual side of the work.
Frontend development — I build from scratch, including headless and CMS-driven web platforms.
Stakeholder and product leadership — I work tightly with engineering and product, and I've led releases end to end.
I believe in empowering underserved communities.
Some of my favourite work happens outside of it. ParksPass, SeeFoam, Canwha, Aytobee — personal projects that let me explore ideas I'm curious about, from accessibility and wayfinding to travel and the future of public spaces.
I'm also building a boutique iconography and illustration agency, focused on interface icons and illustrations for design-conscious startups. Design, for me, doesn't really switch off.
